In the heart of Washington, D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood, renowned chef Elias Taddesse is set to unveil his latest creation, Mélange Foods, Inc., on May 12, 2025. This vibrant location combines three distinct dining concepts under one roof. Returning favorites include Mélange, known for its eclectic sandwiches and burgers, and Doro Soul Food, which reintroduces its beloved Ethiopian-Southern cuisine with a fresh lineup of dishes such as bone-in fried chicken marinated in buttermilk and spices, crispy tenders paired with mint yogurt ranch, and a variety of classic and vegan sandwiches.
The third concept, Moya, an intriguing blend of Ethiopian and Mexican cuisines, is scheduled to open shortly after spring.
