The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair: A Comprehensive Hub for the Global Industry

Instructions

The 73rd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, set to take place in February 2026, is positioned as a pivotal event for the global gems and jewelry industry, providing a holistic platform that caters to every facet of the supply chain. Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director General of Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), emphasizes the fair's role as a complete business ecosystem, designed not merely for sourcing but for empowering international buyers through extensive opportunities and connections.

This upcoming edition of the fair will feature an expanded exhibition area, accommodating over 2,800 booths from more than 24 countries, a significant increase from the previous installment. Attendees can expect a diverse array of products, encompassing everything from unprocessed gems and cut stones to synthetic varieties, diamonds, and pearls, alongside an extensive selection of fine, gold, silver, costume, and fashion jewelry. Beyond finished pieces, the fair also serves as a crucial hub for product displays, packaging solutions, jewelry components, tools, equipment, and machinery, solidifying its status as a truly all-encompassing international trade platform. Additionally, the fair offers valuable support services such as networking events, business matching facilitated by Thaitrade.com, and on-site gem testing by GIT, ensuring transparency and fostering confidence in transactions.

Renowned as Asia's longest-running gems and jewelry trade event and ranking among the world's top four, the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair distinguishes itself as the premier marketplace for colored gemstones, with nearly half of its exhibition space dedicated to them. Thailand's exceptional craftsmanship and advanced gemstone enhancement techniques have also established it as a key OEM and ODM partner for leading luxury brands globally. The fair will also host a high-jewelry showcase under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, celebrating Thai artisans' exquisite vision and skills, along with seminars and workshops on market trends, innovation, and sustainability. With a positive outlook for Thai gems and jewelry exports, which notably increased by 46% in the first ten months of 2025 (excluding unwrought gold), the fair continues to drive growth, strengthen global partnerships, and reinforce Thailand's position as a strategic hub in the international gemstone trade, welcoming an anticipated 50,000 visitors to its expanded 53,000 sqm venue.

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair stands as a beacon of global collaboration and excellence in the industry. Its sustained growth and increasing international participation reflect a dynamic sector that thrives on innovation, skilled craftsmanship, and strategic partnerships. The fair not only facilitates commerce but also inspires progress, demonstrating how collective efforts can elevate standards and foster a vibrant future for the worldwide gems and jewelry community.
